We shall honor and respect the diverse backgrounds of our colleagues including such diverse Characteristics as sexual orientation, race, national origin, religious beliefs, or other affiliations.
We as teachers needs to make sure everyone feels important This really hits home for me I truly believe all children no matter race, religion organ should be treated equally.  we My son is a mixed male his father being African American and he really had a hard time adjusting in the begging he did not know if he should fit in with the white kids or black I really think the color of a child’s skin should not matter us as teachers need to make a point to have all kids interact with each other.

To create and maintain safe and healthy settings that foster children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development and that respect their dignity and their contributions. I really believe in this statement and as educators we have to do everything in our power to educate children. I always make sure every child in my care has a safe place to express themselves while making sure there development is used to the fullest of their ability.

To advocate for and ensure that all children, including those with special needs, have access to the support services needed to be successful.
Until this week I never really considered myself an advocate however any time you stand up for a child you are advocating I really want to make sure my staff and myself will do this every day. I will continue to do resource and always be on the top of the latest resource so I have the most updated information to offer to my parents.

  1. I find it very beneficial to use diverse backgrounds in the professional world. I work with families from around the world and I learn just as much from them. I enjoy learning from various cultures and I think it gives opportunities to learn how to interact with and raise young children from various ways.

  3. I love your post. It is very clear that all of us agreed that our responsibilities as teachers are to provide a healthy and protective environment that foster children learning, and encourage them to develop their experiences. As teachers, we have to focus and pay more attention on how to meet all children’s needs and improve the quality of life and services for them and their families .

  4. I too believe that we as educators should respect the diversity of our collegues. Although we as collegues may have diverse backgounds and characteristics. We do have the one common thread that binds us together, the desire to provide children with the best care or education possible. This common desire should surpass any obstacle that exist.

  5. You chose ideas that identify the profession and I liked each ideal you chose. Professionals should always caryy themselves just as that in that way professionally. Great choices and I agree fully with them all.
