week  8

During this course I have gained a wealth of knowledge from validating research to finding reliable sources.  I really think I know have the knowledge to be able to do research and actually take the steps to make my work easier. There are several steps you have to take before just writing.
My ideas of doing research has changed in the beginning of this class I was afraid I did not have the tools to finish however with a little hard work and some great help from my fellow students I know am proud to say I believe I have the knowledge to do any type of research that is thrown at me.
I have learned several things regarding planning designing and conducting research. Several questions you should really think about before starting.. With planning you should really should ask these questions what do you intend to do? Why is the important? How are you going to do the work? When designing your research you should really think about these main topics. You should provide an overview of the framework. Study goals relate to proposed study hypotheses. Describe any novel concepts, approaches, tools or techniques. Include how data will be collected.
The biggest challenge I had was trying to narrow my topic down to one topic. I was so excited about doing the research and trying to find information before I knew it I was way over my head and had too much information. I really had to take a step back and pick just a part of children disabilities.
I think my perception of early childhood teaching as changed. I know no the important of observation and helping when research is needed for children development. Parents and children always deserve the best and I really believe it’s our job as early childhood educators to keep children safe and do the best we can to provide a loving and caring environment to help children grow up into  loving and caring adults.

Week 5

The article I reviewed was http://www.earlychildhoodaustralia.org.au/
Some of the Issues I saw there are not enough early childhood schools for children to attend. Many of the schools over-crowded. Also there are not enough quality teachers.  Teachers expressed feelings of being overwhelmed with the needs of all of the curriculum areas and could not focus on topics they felt were important

I really love the idea how this group tries to incorporate everything they do around the community, they think buy teaching the children to get involved it will make them better citizens and the citizens of the area love the interaction with the children they become involved with local activities also.

I find it very exciting especially since I am doing my resource paper on children with disabilities they were mention this topic. “Position statement on the inclusion of children with a disability in early childhood education and care.” I am very pleased to see other countries even when they are struggling with the government trying to make a better place for children that they do not leave any child left out and they believe they can work with children best if they are placed around other children who do not have disabilities.

week 3

After doing a lot of reading and looking around on the internet this week I still really torn on the whole research on children. I hate the fact that any child ever has to suffer or experience any sort of pain just to get basic questions answered. However on the reverse side I really think some research is wonderful. This article below describes research that happens for handicapped children. Without this no one would know the severity or the issues the child are having and ways to hopefully work with the children to improve there lives. There is so much help in the world we just need to be aware of the disability and the appropriate action to take and without research we would not know how to handle children or the different learning styles of children.  Every child is different and I really think research gives us a starting point to help the children that come in our lives grow.

week 2 Personal Research Journey

I  have  choice  to  do  my  research  on The importance of family support. I really think it is important for children’s learning and how they will grow into mature adult’s children is proud to have their parents attend school functions.  Knowing they have love and support from their parents I think can help all children in the long run. While doing some research this week I have found a lot of information pertaining to my topic from the importance of parents from different heritage being involved in their children learning and helping teachers learn cultures believes to the parents with children with disabilities and how it’s the law for parents to attend meeting and help with their children needs and education.

I really  could use  some  help  pertaining to my topic and if  anyone could  offer some  positive information to help understand the importance of getting parents involved and how  to  make parents  get involved

week 8

I have learned a lot during this course I have gained a lot of knowledge and meet some very great people along the way who have encouraged me to go after my dreams.

Consequences of learning through this course not everyone is the same we as early childhood education need to find ways to teach children with disabilities, children from different cultures and races. And show children and their families the need to accept each other.  I have come to understand that people all over the world are living in poverty stricken home and communities and I need to take a stand and find ways to reach those in need and offer my assistant he families and children that come across my path. Also I have found new and improve ways to promote and improve an effective early childhood education and have the tools to share my knowledge with others on the importance a quality education program is to children’s success in life.

A really important goal in my opinion we need to Expand and improve comprehensive early childhood education, especially for the most vulnerable and disadvantaged children. Help raise awareness both international and national on the importance of early childhood education and offer support and education to those in need.

week 7 contact part 3

Susan is my contact from India she works as a teachers  she  states sometimes she feels her job is worthless since children drop out so early who she sees  has a bright future however she never loses  faith that if she gets thru  just one child  day she believes she is making a different. She advised she try to mentor all students that comes in her path some days even though school is only in session for 4 hours she works up to 12 hours a day. She meets and greets the parents regularly, and tries to find ways to improve the conditions of the school, so she can provide the students with better opportunities. When I asked Susan about the professional development she advised she really did not have much training before actually becoming a teacher however since then she has been here to the United States on many occasions and have attended many workshops on children.  Susan advised some of the goals she would like professionally is to get her teacher degree. She says she studies at the library all the time however would like a certification. She would like to make a different her countries and  one goal she  says she never gives up on is  live every day to the fullest teach anyone who comes across her path there is a fun and inviting way of learning. She said her biggest challenges is trying to keep children in school  past the age of 8 with a limited budget and parents making children work she tries to find new and exciting way to encourage children the passion to learn and to share her wisdom and idea with the families.

Wendy is my contact from Nicaragua. She adv many children do not go to school in fact the small town she lives in right now kindergarten thru 8th grade only has 11 students. However she  advised every day she holds her head high even though the economy is getting hard she wants the children who due  make it to have a great learning experience. Wendy advised the biggest professional growth she try to encourage is making sure children feel safe and strive to make a better learning environment.  There is no teaching expectations or degrees you need Wendy has taken a few  classes, Wendy advised the school she works out she started as a volunteer and  has worked her way up to the main  teach lead.  Volunteers will work in a classroom environment or other administrator role. Some of her goals and dreams would one day to come to the United States take some classes on children and be able to go back to her country and share her knowledge. She advised the biggest challenges they have is the economy and trying to show parents how important their children education is. She hopes one day she can get to be a child advocate and help every child that comes across her path.
